We’re excited to provide this free 16-episode Conversation Series as a complement and supplement to our book “God’s Marriage Blueprint: Restoring the Beauty of God’s Original Design.”  We worked hard over 8 months to ensure that this series is faithful to the solid Biblical truths from the book.  Using a tool called NotebookLM, our expert consultant wrote and rewrote prompts and parameters to get the series just right.  We also did six rounds of line-by-line edits to the episodes.  While it took a lot of work, we hope that you’ll agree that this Conversation Series provides an enjoyable and engaging experience that not only reinforces the book but also adds practical insights for your consideration and application.  Enjoy!

The God's Marriage Blueprint Conversation Series is a chapter-by-chapter companion to David Hazelton's book, God's Marriage Blueprint: Restoring the Beauty of God's Original Design, written with Nancie and Bill Carmichael.

Across the series, two hosts sit down with one chapter at a time. They speak as peers in ministry, not as lecturers, and the conversation stays where the book keeps it: on God's design for marriage itself.

This is not commentary from a distance. It is honest, grounded dialogue built around Scripture, marriage counseling, and the lived reality of two people learning to love well in covenant. The series traces the same arc as the book — the beauty of God's original design, the damage sin brought to marriage, the restoration God accomplishes through Christ, and what all of it means for couples today. The point throughout is oneness, which is bigger than any of the usual labels.

If you are married, engaged, or intentionally preparing, each episode is an invitation to slow down and reflect — not only on techniques or advice, but on what marriage was made to be. Listen on your own or with your spouse, and let the conversation give you something worth talking about together.

What You'll Learn

By the end of the series, you'll have a working understanding of what the Bible actually says about marriage — and a set of honest conversations to have with your spouse along the way. You will:

  • See God's original design for marriage as it's given in Genesis — equal value, shared responsibility, and the central principle of oneness — and why that design is good news for real couples.

  • Understand what sin did to marriage — how shame, guilt, fear, blame, and the fight for control entered the picture, and how to recognize those same patterns in your own relationship without despair.

  • Trace how the gospel restores marriage — what changes when Christ, not self-protection, sits at the center, and what sacrificial love and mutual submission look like in practice.

  • Move past the tired debates. You'll see why the book sets aside the complementarian-versus-egalitarian argument and keeps the focus on oneness, and what biblical headship actually means — and doesn't mean.

  • Read Scripture with more confidence. Each episode grounds its discussion in the passages the book uses, so you learn to see the text for yourself rather than take a position secondhand.

  • Connect biblical truth to daily marriage. Where a counseling lens helps, Grace names how these truths tend to show up in real relationships — so the ideas stay practical, not theoretical.

  • Leave every episode with something to talk about. Each conversation ends with a prompt for one insight, one confession, or one hope to share with your spouse — turning what you hear into something you actually do.

Whether you're preparing for marriage, early in it, renewing it, or working to repair it, you'll come away with a clearer picture of God's design and a more honest, hopeful way of living inside it.
